Invest your brain + heart

Recently when going into a meeting with a colleague, she asked if she should bring her laptop, and I answered, “Just bring your brain and your heart!” She was really flabbergasted and looked at me with a strange smile, “My heart?!?”
Well, I believe that we need to switch on our IQ as well as our EQ to live wholeheartedly, delivering the best possible results, or in other words: invest our brain and our hearts in whatever we do. The brain stands for logic, expertise, know-how.
The heart stands for passion, empathy, emotional intelligence, feelings. And only when we are pairing up the brain with the heart, can we achieve the optimal result.
So my recommendation: Follow your heart and take your brain with you, whatever you do, no matter what.
