It's all in the mind - Let's master it!
These past months have shown me even more that one’s mindset is crucially important, determining how you deal with challenges. Your mindset impacts how you, for example, begin every day, if you see the positive or if you are weighted down by the negatives.
And this quote reminds me to think “thumbs up” whatever happens:

For example, on some days during chemotherapy I was very weak and could only rest on our sofa bed, overlooking the lake, watching the sea birds, following the cloud formations ..... I started to look out consciously for the king fisher to fly by, observed the cormorants fishing, the sky changing, the trees moving in the wind … I realized that it’s very special that I have so much time at my disposal to watch the seasons change. And I will always remember these sofa bed times as very luxurious me-times.
Keeping a happy, positive mindset is already challenging in a normal, healthy life, and of course it’s even more challenging when hardships hit you. I have actually never lost my happiness and I contribute it to my deep-rooted belief that life will go on, no matter what …. So I better live wholeheartedly. I chose to be happy.
